Rick Detwiler is a seasoned industry professional with over four decades of experience in chemical testing, marine inspection, and operational leadership. He currently serves as Director of Administration and Special Projects at the Quality Institute of America, where he provides technical leadership in software development, ISO 9001 auditing, project management, regulatory compliance, and customer service. Prior to this, Rick spent 24 years as Vice President of Chem Coast, Inc., overseeing daily operations in Marine Inspection and Chemical Testing. He led the company’s transition from manual to digital systems, introduced automated order processes, and secured ISO certification—modernizing operations from the ground up. Earlier in his career, Rick served 23 years at E. I. DuPont in a variety of key roles, including ISO Implementation Manager, Logistics Manager, and International Customer Service Coordinator. He also directed numerous projects in production, lab management, and process improvement.
